Courtney Anderson is a Research and Development Engineer II specializing in building instrumentation platforms and experimental setups to investigate the applications of ocean acoustics. She holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where she focused on robotics and mechatronics, and a B.S. in Marine Bioinspired Design, a self designed major. Her work spans underwater acoustics, marine robotics, and ocean sensor technology, with prior experience designing equipment for extreme ocean environments in the aquaculture industry. Before joining the lab, Courtney contributed to projects in fish biomass modeling, coral reef fluid dynamics, and marine hardware development. Outside of the lab, she enjoys swimming, scuba diving, teaching, playing sports, and crafting.
