Will is a third-year PhD student in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program, where he is advised by Y.T. Lin and Magdalena Andres. He is based out of the Mechanical Engineering department at MIT and the Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering department at WHOI. Will received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from Webb Institute in 2019. After graduation, he worked as a civilian researcher at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in West Bethesda, MD as part of the Computational Fluid Dynamics and Propulsors Division. NSWCCD is currently funding his graduate research through the DoD SMART Scholarship.

Outside of research, he enjoys doing Brazilian jiu jitsu, playing video games, and exploring the Boston restaurant scene to get ideas for new recipes.
